Job functions:
- Sell, teaming with contractor partners, energy systems projects to target annual dollar value
- Provide technical and sales support to Design/Build contractors for selling energy systems
- Prepare and assist with preparation of feasibility studies, comparative financial analysis, proposals, bids and economic analyses for prospects. This may include performing energy simulations and similar engineering analyses.
- Attend project planning and construction phase meetings – note that traveling is required.
- Assist with project planning and budgeting
- Selling and cold calling – comfortable on the phone with strangers and engaging decision makers in a sales process
- Manage the relationship with contractor partners
- Territory management, planning, managing and implementing programs to grow the territory
- Work in a team with the Account Manager sharing common goals to build sales for the territory and for the contractor partners
Skills and experience:
- Sales skills, preferably Solution Selling
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are essential.
- At least 5 years in practice of mechanical engineering, ideally with an understanding of HVAC applications and design.
- Knowledge of and experience in the building construction industry
- Knowledge of building automation and temperature control systems
- Desirable – relationships in the HVAC market that can be used to build credibility and market awareness
- Strong MS Office skills
Education
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from accredited school.
- LEED Accredited Professional status is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Professional Engineer status is a plus, but not a requirement.
