Job functions:
- Prepare feasibility studies, comparative proposals/estimating, and economic analyses for prospects
- Complete extensive computer simulation of building systems including building envelopes, daylight harvesting, HVAC simulations, renewable energy systems and the design of geothermal heat pump systems.
- Prepare design specifications, analyses and recommendations
- Responsibility for planning, organizing and conducting technical projects
- Project Management
- Conduct research
- Work closely with Operations and Sales Teams in developing and offering business solutions to our customers.
- May provide work leadership for other employees
Skills and experience:
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
- Desire and ability to learn how to use advanced technology design software
- 15+ years in practice of mechanical engineering with an understanding of the HVAC design process
- Geothermal experience strongly desired
- Ability to interact with prospective and current clients
Education
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited school. (Masters desirable)
- Professional Engineer status is a plus, but not a requirement
- LEED Accredited Professional status is a plus, but not a requirement
